Clear Sound

Clear Sounds

Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?
- 1 Corinthians 14:7-8 (NIV)

Often times we give out uncertain sounds to those around us and by so doing, the people do not know exactly what we want, who we are or what we stand for.

Consistency is largely missing in today’s society, people flip-flop from one viewpoint in search for relevance and success. God expects you to be consistent as you give out a clear signal. This helps rally those looking up to you and sets them ready at any time.

Children remain confused because they cannot tell where parents stand on any issue. Our views must be clear. In this regard, we ought to be predictable.
James 5:12 Above all, my brothers, do not swear-not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No", no, or you will be condemned.

When people know your stance, they have clarity and know how to relate to you. Your mannerism and attitude if not well guarded will attract wicked and fraudulent people to you and they will come to offer strange enticements to act wrong.

Your character should be clear.

You must be known by the highest standards so that when the chips are down your integrity will speak for you.
